Nimbus-7 TOMS Reflectivity CD-ROM Information

Version 8 CD-ROMS containing reflectivity data are now available. The entire Nimbus-7 TOMS reflectivity dataset (1978-1993) has been placed onto a 2 CD-ROM set. Disk #1 contains the gridded reflectivity data from 1978-1987 while disk #2 contains the gridded reflectivity data from 1988-1993. Disk #2 also includes monthly zonal means, zonal means, and daily GIF images. GIF image viewers are provided for PCs running Windows and for systems running the Mac operating system.

Known Problems with the Version 8 Reflectivity CD-ROM (OPT_005a and OPT_005b)

1. Disk OPT_005b has a few extra files mixed in with the data. These extra files have been found only in the following directories:

   \y93\m9304\ \y93\m9305\ 

   The files have the extention ".n7t" and are zero in length. Please disreguard these files.
