Abstract: This lesson suggests 5 projects where students can interact with real-time ozone satellite data from the TOMS (Total Ozone Mapping Spectrometer) website to draw critical conclusions about the ozone layer.

Overall Objectives: By the end of the following projects, the student should be able to:

-independently research ozone data available on the web
-defend (or debate) their research results

Suggested Grade levels & Duration: 9-12

one 40 minute class period for each project (can be longer if needed)
